Its hard to believe that one of users most loved programs was only founded 10 years ago in 1999, Ableton which is widely known for its Ableton Live software, became an instant hit for both Mac and PC users alike, due to its amazing work for laptops in 'live' perfomance scenarios.live8box

Clearly this is something to celebrate and Ableton have announced a wide range of special offers. The first is a whopping 20% off new and upgrade licences for Ableton Live and Suite 8, which saves you a small fortune if you were thinking of moving to Live anytime soon.

In addition to the amazing deals, Ableton have also announced the release date for Max for as the 23rd November 2009. Max for Live is designed to bring the power of Cycling 74’s Max/MSP modular programming environment to Live users, allowing them to build their own instruments and effects. Max for Live will be available from the Ableton web shop, at a cost 249 Euros for Live 8 users, and with a discount available for Max/MSP 5 owners.
Finally, Ableton have announced a new version of Live called Live Intro. Previously, a stripped-down version of Live called Live Lite was given away with specific hardware, but was limited depending on the capacity of the hardware, usually to around eight audio tracks. Live Intro allows up to 64 audio tracks and unlimited MIDI tracks, and allows 12 Live audio effects per project. What’s more, Ableton Live LE users can upgrade to Live Intro for absolutely nothing, while new users will find it very reasonably priced at 99 Euros. There are various other subtle limitations imposed on the function of the software, which are listed on the Ableton web site.
Discount offers are available from the 4th November 2009 to the 15th January 2010
