One thing before you go
If you take one idea from the PDF, take this: Cubase doesn't name its shortcuts — it positions them.
Zoom out is G, zoom in is H, side by side. Previous event is B, next event is N, side by side. Punch in is I, punch out is O, side by side. And the number row, 1 through 9, is the toolbox in toolbar order — press 3 for Split not because 3 means split, but because Split is the third tool along.
Most people never notice the pattern, because they're reading it as a list rather than feeling for the positions. Once you do, the whole keyboard stops needing to be memorised.
Working on a MacBook? The silicone keyboard covers carry the same layout, sit straight over the built-in keyboard, and protect the keys from dust and spills at the same time.

If you're not sure where to start, learn Workspaces — arrange your windows how you like them for tracking, press Alt + U to store it, then Alt + Num 1 to jump straight back to it from anywhere. It's the most underused feature in Cubase and it changes how the whole application feels.
