One thing before you go
If a key isn't doing what the guide says, check two things before anything else.
Which page you're on. Resolve is really seven applications sharing a window, and the same key does different jobs across Edit, Colour and Fairlight. W is Dynamic Trim on the Edit page but toggles the wipe on Colour.
Which keyboard preset is loaded. Resolve ships with presets that emulate other editing applications. If one of those is active, your keys won't match this guide or a Resolve keyboard. Open Keyboard Customization with Cmd+Opt+K and set the preset back to DaVinci Resolve.
Get the most from the PDF
Two shortcuts a week is roughly the rate they stick. If you're not sure where to start, learn the page switches — Shift+4 for Edit, Shift+6 for Colour, Shift+7 for Fairlight. Moving between rooms without reaching for the mouse changes how the whole application feels.
