The Low Cut switch is great for use with low frequency heavy recording. If you are recording an instrument with a lot of bass, the 6 dB cut at 50Hz  which this switch activates will help you to achieve a nice wholesome sound without distortion.

The Pad switch is perfect for recording louder signals such as  musical instruments, sound effects and even some singers.

Switch it across to reduce the recording level by 10 decibels.
