You can spend hours at the cockpit and you want to improve your in-home cockpit to make it the most appealing and realistic set up possible.
The wait is over for one of the most requested keyboards of all time, the Flight Simulator X Keyboard from Editors Keys.
This brand new keyboard contains over 100 shortcuts for Flight Sim X and has been designed from the ground with tons of Flight Sim X users to make the most visually appealing and accurate shortcut keyboard.
The Flight Simulator X keyboard also features some great back and side lighting, so when you're piloting through the night, you'll have the backlits to guide you, where ever your destination.
From ColdPlay’s producer Rik Simpson, the BBC, Fox Network to thousands of home users, the campaign was backed from users from all over the world. The successful Kickstarter campaign reached over a huge 200% funding goal. (We make video and audio ones too!)
That's why we've developed the brand new range of backlit keyboards, all designed for your software.
How many times have you sat in a dark room flying, struggling to see the keyboard, or simply used a poor quality keyboard? We're getting rid of both of those problems today with the Flight Simulator X Keyboard.
Eye strain is a big problem for most computer users and for editors working in a dimly lit room the problem can be much greater. Did you know you can be causing yourself to suffer with eye strain, back pain and neck pain?
We worked with Optical Express in the UK to ensure we developed a product which would help remove these problems.
“This innovation should significantly reduce eye strain symptoms. This will ultimately improve efficiency for the user & improve eye health in the long term” said Stephen Hannan, Clinical Services Director of Optical Express.
The keyboards are designed to help you fly better than ever before. No more looking through PDF's to find the shortcuts for Flight Simulator X.
Now you'll have them to hand.
Editors Keys are used by most of the worlds top editing suites, post production houses, recording studios and universities, so it's time for you to improve your flight set up and join the backlit shortcut revolution with your Flight Simulator X Keyboard.

Is this keyboard compatible with P3D?
By Mark on December 28, 2015
You should be able to match your shortcuts to that of FSX to make this compatible with P3D.
Just bought your Flight Simulator X Keyboard and it is supposed to have 'back & side lighting'. I do not see any lighting, even in a dark room.
Is there some way to turn on this lighting?
By freded on January 9, 2016
Hey Mark, Thanks for email to get the light working, all you have to do is hit the 'Scroll lock' button. Hope this helps.

By TonyB on February 11, 2016
This is a USB Wired Keyboard.
Good morning Giles
is there a manual that goes with our keyboard.
Or do we set it up like the old keyboard
i didn't know if it needed programing
By BOB NEIL on March 6, 2016
Great question Bob. The keyboard will work straight out of the box, not set up required. To access the backlighting simply press the FN Keyboard the 'on' button (if you have the version with the brightness up and down you can also access this by pressing the brightness up and down buttons.)
I have this keyboard, and have looked everywhere on it....dumb question, but, where is the scroll lock key?
By Rod on July 13, 2016

The perfect match for the casual Flightsimer
By: /\/\ike on December 7, 2015
My love with FlightSim startet in the early 80ies on a Commodore C64. The software came from Bruce Artwick, later Sublogic and then Microsoft and while the graphices got more impressive with mightier computers - Atari ST, AMIGA, x386 up to XEONs - one problem remained: keeping all the shortcuts to control throttle and ILS, carburetor heat and lights in your mind and still find the runway has not gotten easier - until FSX keyboard came out. As I run the sim on a beamer with almost no (cockpit) lights, the Illumination of the keys comes in Handy.
