Can you hear the audio from your computer through the headphone jack? For example if I use this microphone for skype, would I hear only myself through the headphones or can I chose to hear whatever audio comes from the pc?

By Marcus on March 13, 2017

Hey Marcus - Yes this is possible with the SL600. All you would need to do is within Skypes Preferences, simply set the SL600 as your input and output device. (Or if you'd prefer you can just set it as your input device and have your computer as the output, so you can still hear the audio from your computer.)

I would like to ask you if there is possible with this microphone to have effects in my voice when i sing like reverb, delay and the sound of my voice.. To control ny bass my prima etc.. please inform me what can i do with that if i want to create song covers from my home.. thank you

By pelagia on July 16, 2017

Hey - Yes this is possible, but this is handled by recording software such as Garageband or Pro Tools rather than the microphone itself.

The Mic Challenge

By: Voice of David on November 28, 2016

This is the second condenser mic I've owned for my home voice studio. I mainly wanted a second one for travelling because, I kept missing out on new jobs if I was on the road so I wanted something lighter and less to carry than the XLR mic with audio interface.

Now my other mic is great (the industry standard N word) but having now tried this out - I can't definitively say that this is even better but I can say that it's impossible to tell the difference. It's slightly more forgiving of background noise and has a fantastic tone - I know that won't be right for everybody (no mic is) but the SL600 seems to absolutely love my voice.

I have a youtube channel and have used the SL300 for the past 2 years. It offered excellent quality at a very low price, so when I saw the SL600 I knew I had to give it a try. I purchased it and had the opportunity to compare it side by side with the SL300 and can clearly say, that the improvements are difinitely worth their money. At this point Editor's Keys have really entered deep into the professional mic scene - the sound is deep and clear, the mic ignores almost all background noise (only when standing right next to my mechanical keyboard can you hear the clicking of the keys slightly) and it offers very nice and deep bass. The appearance has also improved greatly, now looking more elegant and sleek. Of course we now have features like gain and volume settings directly on the mic as well as a 3,5mm AUX jack so that one can listen to himself while recording. The low cut and minus 10dB sliders are still there (they used to be on the SL300 as well) and the mic fits with all previous equipment, which I had purchased for the SL300, making it an excellent upgrade option. The price has increased, but this device is definitely worth its money. So far I have not seen a single review out there saying anything bad about this mic - I can recommend it to anyone who wants to get the most out of his recording.

Fantastic mic!

Let me start with a confession. I generally have considered USB mics as toys. Fun for the kids but not for professional work. With the in introduction of the SL300 I changed my entire thought process. I ended up buying several to replace some much more expensive M Audio mics.

Now with the SL600 introduction, I may replace those.

The ease and time of setup could not be more simple. Generally a Plug and Play operation. But that would not matter much if it did not perform. Simply put, the sound and quality will blow you away. The addition of the Vol control and the headphone jack built into the mic itself finally completes the picture.

This is the best bang for the buck USB mic that I have encountered. Stop researching and just buy this thing! You will not be disappointed.
