Cubase Compatible Wireless Backlit Keyboard: The Reviews Are In!

We recently launched our brand new Wireless Backlit Keyboard compatible with Cubase, and it’s been getting some fantastic feedback from content creators and music professionals alike. Two reviewers—Featherlight Studios (US) and Alice Byno (Belgium)—recently shared their thoughts on YouTube, and we’re thrilled to hear how the keyboard is helping them speed up workflow, improve navigation, and stay creative.

Featherlight Studios: “This just makes everything faster.”

Steve from Featherlight Studios put the Cubase wireless keyboard through its paces in a real-world studio session—and he had a lot to say:

  • Studio-Ready Build: Steve praised the aluminium construction, comparing it to Apple’s keyboards for its sleek, high-quality feel. “This is very well made... It feels solid and elegant,” he noted, adding that it’s sturdy enough for heavy studio use but light enough to stay mobile-friendly.

  • Bluetooth Flexibility: With support for three Bluetooth devices, he highlighted how useful it is for moving between tracking, mixing, and mastering setups in different rooms. A quick switch of channels and you’re on a different device—no re-pairing needed.

  • Backlighting That Just Works: He appreciated the soft glow of the three-level backlight, especially how it’s controlled by its own dedicated button—no fiddly key combos. It’s perfect for late-night sessions and looks beautiful on a darkened studio desk.

  • Real Workflow Boost: Steve demoed it live in a Cubase session and loved how quickly he could jump between markers, solos, loop regions, and tools—without needing the trackpad at all. “This is just a lot faster,” he said, showing how even advanced edits like ripple deletes or comping takes became easier.

Alice Byno

Over in Belgium, Alice Byno shared her experience with the keyboard—and for those who don’t have Cubase shortcuts memorised, her review was spot on:

  • Perfect for Non-Techies: Alice focused on how the keyboard helps even non-experts get fast in Cubase. All the major shortcuts are clearly labelled and colour-coded—so you can focus on your music, not your manual.

  • Powerful Shortcut Layout: She broke down the layout for viewers—yellow for tools, orange for transport and playback, red for modifiers, and so on. The spacebar acts as play/stop, and marker navigation is made super easy using the number keys and Shift.

  • Wireless and Backlit: Like Steve, she highlighted the keyboard’s wireless functionality and backlight, and explained how battery life reaches 100 hours without backlight or 5 hours fully lit.

  • Smart Features in Action: Alice demonstrated some lesser-known but powerful Cubase functions directly from the board—like the auto-scroll toggle, ripple delete with Shift+Delete, and muting/unmuting events with simple single-key commands.

Final Verdicts

Both reviewers came to similar conclusions:

Featherlight Studios: “This solves so many problems... It's an elegant and balanced solution.”
Alice Byno: “This will definitely be staying on my desk!”

We designed this keyboard to be a true creative companion—for pros and aspiring producers alike. Whether you’re in a full studio setup or producing on a laptop at home, the wireless backlit Cubase keyboard gives you a faster, smoother, and more enjoyable experience inside your DAW.

Hi. I am very interested in your new Cubase keyboard. But I live in Sweden and we have å, ä and ö in our alphabet. When will a keyboard with these keys be available? Like a German keyboard.

Best regards
